Ke$ha performs live at the Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore, Maryland on September 27, 2013
BALTIMORE, M.D. – Pure madness was on display Friday night as swarms made their way toward Pier Six Pavilion, where the last drops of summer would soon be squeezed from the warm September air.
Ke$ha had inspired an entire dress code for the occasion, and all the screaming adoration which goes along with it.
The sight of the venue illuminated under a clear sky coupled with a lawn section completely filled with eager fans was bittersweet.
Yes, the warmth of summer was coming to an end. But it might as well end with a bang.
In the eyes of her fans, or animals as some prefer, Ke$ha could do no wrong. Half the experience was the atmosphere itself, which was electric even before the show began.
And she came through with a dazzling tour de force of pop, complete with dancers and precise choreography.
Her third album in the rearview mirror, she had all the hits required for her fans to devour all candy-coated rhythms they could fathom.
Pier Six Pavilion never felt more like a trendy nightclub.
The consistency of her catalog would be rather boring if every song wasn’t so catchy. Most choruses felt like anthems by the time they arrived.
“We R Who We R” may have needed ample studio magic to come together for the album release, but translated effortlessly into the show with Ke$ha grabbing the guitar for its second half.
She knows her responsibility well as an entertainer. Keep the party going, and the hits flowing.
