Ferry, pictured here on his 2014 West Coast tour, has expanded his North American tour to include the Midwest and East Coast
Just one day after walking off the stage in Santa Barbara, California for what could have been assumed his final North American show of 2014, Bryan Ferry announced there’s more to come.
Eight shows in Chicago, Milwaukee, Toronto, Montreal, Washington DC, New York, Boston, and Philadelphia will comprise his new East Coast tour, which launches September 21.
This month saw Ferry’s West Coast tour impress critics and hipsters alike, with his debut at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and appearances at scenic California venues including the Santa Barbara Bowl and Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay in San Diego.
The shows opened with a suave blend of 1980s Ferry solo hits “Kiss & Tell” and “Slave to Love”, while the remainder of his set list heavily explored the Roxy Music catalog including the first four tracks from their 1972 debut.
Gone is the orchestra from his fall 2013 U.K. tour, but his signature Louis Vuitton floral print jacket, which earned rave reviews of its own, did follow him across the pond.
Ferry will spend the summer traversing Europe with gigs in Germany, Ireland, the U.K., Switzerland, and Spain.
