LAS VEGAS, N.V. – The luxury can be felt with just a step through the palisade into the palm tree-laden oasis.

The crystal-blue water invitingly shines while top Billboard dance club hits serve as the backdrop to what can only be described as a pool party on steroids.

Encore Beach Club on this March Saturday is everything it was meant to be. The temperature is 75 degrees. The sun is out. By 1:00, the place is buzzing with a healthy but not overwhelming crowd, with more eagerly waiting in line behind red velvet ropes.

The staff, clad in the same shade of red as the ropes, are at hand with drinks and towels. At one of its two large pools, a fountain sprays overhead. On a hotter day, there’s a even a misting system for maximum cooling.

AN21, the Greek-Swedish DJ will soon elevate the music selection by taking the helm in front of a massive LED screen installed just this year. According to Encore, it’s easier to see in the sunlight because it’s five times brighter than screens used indoors.

Two levels of plush cabanas with bottle service and ample menus offer even more indulgences north of the $10,000 range. On the upper level, if you’re lucky enough to reserve one of the highly coveted spots before they fill up, you’ll be treated to a birds-eye view of the impressive complex. For the cabana-goers who don’t want to miss any of the action happening below, there are big screen TVs set to display AN21 on stage.

Even in the city where excess is the norm, it’s hard not to be impressed by the scene.

Since it’s not-so-humble beginnings in 2010, the Encore Beach Club has been the anchor and crown jewel of the Las Vegas dayclub renaissance.

The world’s top DJs – David Guetta, Avicii, and Madeon – are among the likes of its resident performers. David Hasselhoff is known to drop by from time to time. And so does anyone else (although mostly the young and beautiful) who wants to see and be seen among the decadent offerings.

They’ll keep the music pumping and the drinks flowing through the summer. There’s a 4th of July bash with new Grammy Award winners Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Major Lazer, Zedd, Steve Angello and Redfoo, will continue rotating.

The 2014 season began in March and runs through November. Tickets are available at
