Daryl Hall Bids Farewell to Original ‘Daryl’s House’, Show Moves to New Venue

Published on February 19th, 2014

A landmark 65 episodes into his successful web series-turned television show, Daryl Hall is ready for a change of scene. He’s turned in the keys to the restored Millerton, N.Y. home which served as the set for Live from Daryl’s House.

But there’s still one more episode on deck from the old digs.

Husband-wife folk duo JOHNNYSWIM provided the curtain call for the old set, jamming with Hall on a string of tunes including seminal Hall & Oates hits “Adult Education” and “Do What You Want, Be What You Are”.

The episode willpremiere on Palladia music channel on February 20, on the VH1 App on February 28, and on its original home at LDFH.com on March 15.

A press release said Daryl was duly impressed with the pair. “What a day. That is one fantastic duo, and I love duos. They were so prepared, and such good musicians. They just jumped right in. I love their songs, especially ‘Annie.’ The band and I had a great time.”

The Hall camp has yet to make an official announcement on the next filming location, although it’s an open secret that the show is moving to a newly renovated nightclub in Pawling, N.Y.

The show’s closed set format is said to be remaining intact, with the venue being remodeled to look like his old home.
